This is one of 8 classes we will be interacting with in rural Nepal. What a wonderful, inquisitive, and well-behaved group of kids. In the first day we passed out candy canes, erasers, pencils, pens, notebooks, toothpaste, and delivered soccer balls, basketballs, and some medicine.
Many more updates to come!
Are they one of the happiest people you’ve met?
Yes! They are so innocent and polite. So happy at the school.
What’s the age range of this class?
Is the floor and wall all concrete?
That class was 9-11 yrs old, but the whole school has nursery through 8th grade, so up to 15 yrs old. The school is all concrete.. Makes it pretty cold! We just toured 4 other schools in the region, and all have different strengths and weaknesses.. In a few more days I’ll give a more complete update! Happy new year!
So cute :-)!!
When you enter thr classroom, they sing in unison – “good morning sirrrrr!”
<3…..ooohhh!!!
🙂 I’m returning to the school in a few days to teach for at least a month straight!
